Strong Leadership, Accountability and Service

THE AIC GIRLS SENIOR SCHOOL is a public girls’ school in Kenya sponsored by the Africa Inland Church (AIC). The school operates within the framework of Kenya’s public education system while benefiting from the values, support and partnership of its sponsor.

The management of the school is committed to providing a safe, disciplined and supportive environment in which every learner can achieve her academic, social, spiritual and co-curricular potential.

School Administration

The day-to-day administration of the school is led by the Principal, who provides overall leadership and coordinates the implementation of government education policies, school programmes and institutional priorities.

The Principal works closely with the Deputy Principals, Heads of Departments, teachers, support staff and other members of the school community to ensure the effective delivery of teaching and learning.

The school administration is responsible for:

• Providing effective instructional and institutional leadership.
• Coordinating teaching, learning and assessment programmes.
• Promoting discipline, responsibility and positive behaviour among learners.
• Supporting teachers and staff in the performance of their duties.
• Ensuring the effective use and management of school resources.
• Promoting the safety, welfare and wellbeing of all learners.
• Supporting co-curricular activities, including athletics and other sporting programmes.
• Working closely with parents and guardians to support learner development.
• Implementing relevant policies and guidelines governing public schools in Kenya.
• Promoting accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.

Board of Management

As a public school, THE AIC GIRLS SENIOR SCHOOL is governed with the participation of its Board of Management (BOM) in accordance with the applicable laws, policies and guidelines governing education in Kenya.

The Board provides strategic oversight and works with the school administration to support the effective management and development of the institution.

The Board’s responsibilities include supporting the school’s strategic direction, infrastructure development, resource management, learner welfare and the overall improvement of the school.

Role of the AIC Church as Sponsor

The Africa Inland Church (AIC) is the sponsor of the school. As a sponsor, the church has an important role in supporting the school’s Christian values, character formation and spiritual development.

The partnership between the school and its sponsor seeks to promote values such as:

Effective school management requires cooperation among the administration, teachers, learners, parents, the Board of Management, the sponsor and the wider community.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to work closely with the school to support the academic progress, discipline, welfare and personal development of their daughters.
